As program manager for HSLDA Online Academy, Colin Black manages the Academy’s staff and instructors and oversees daily operations. During the past two years, under his leadership, the Academy has grown from 400 to 1300 students. Prior to serving as program manager, Colin tutored English online, served as the assistant to the director of distance learning at Patrick Henry College, and worked in the Academy’s marketing and customer service department. Colin completed his last two years of high school early by taking online college courses as a homeschooled student. He graduated from Patrick Henry College with a degree in history and plans to earn an MBA in the future. His favorite part of his job is getting to know teachers and parents and listening to their ideas for how the Academy can better serve the homeschooling community.
